What a difference a day makes

The floor is down. So easy a 12 year old can do it (I thought about dressing him up as a caveman **smile**)
But really, it only took a few hours to put it down with a little team work. I rolled out the sound proof and taped it together while the boys put the boards in place.
I think it looks good for $.69 a sqft  bought at Lumber Liquidators. We've decided since our "caveman" did such a great job on his knees knocking the boards in place (because the daddy has bad knees) we're going to take to install this in part of our house.

Caveman's sister spent most of the afternoon at dance class (their competitions start soon) When she did come over later in the day she decided it made a great dance studio and asked if we could leave it like it is. She also asked if she could bring her tap shoes back over. :) Her passion is dance, mine sewing.
Tomorrow we move the cutting tables and sewing stations over. No more room for little one to dance.... until we install it in our house.

Oh what a difference a day makes thanks to my family!

Until next time,
Enjoy your moments ~ make them "sew" much fun,

  1. Wow!!! It wasn't that easy for my husband and me when we put that down in our basement. We are not handy at all!! I have vowed NEVER EVER to do any kind of home improvement project with him again!!! LOL!!! That looks fantastic. It will be easy to clean up loose threads, dropped pins, ect.... You are really making progress! I am so happy for you!

  2. I just did my laundry room floor. It was a cinch-- except the timing was two days before Christmas. Not the best. Your area is obviously much bigger than mine!! LOL
