Support Our Soldiers will have a potluck lunch on Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to make cool ties and helmet coolers for the soldiers at war. The community's help is needed in the assembly of these items. The workshop is sponsored by the American Sewing Guild, which will supply materials.

Senior Center group sews stuffed animals for babies in need

Carrollton resident Elaine Mattingly spent part of a recent Monday afternoon at the Senior Center drawing faces on homemade stuffed animals. Mattingly is a part of the Carrollton Senior Cutups, which formed about three months ago to sew stuffed animals to send to babies at Children’s Hospital.
